COOEKVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech football team gets at least one more game at home in Tucker Stadium, and this time the stakes are the highest in history on Overall Field. The Golden Eagles, co-champions of the Ohio Valley Conference will host Central Arkansas at 2 p.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 26.

Tickets for the opening round game are already on sale through TTUsports.com (click here to order), and will go on sale Monday at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center or by calling (931) 372-3940. Tickets are $10 each.

Tennessee Tech's 2011 season ticket holders can purchase their same seats for the game, but must do so by noon Tuesday.

Tennessee Tech students will be admitted free to the game by showing a valid TTU ID. The free admission for Tech's students is being purchased and rovided by Tech Athletics.

The Golden Eagles concluded the regular season on Saturday with a convincing 49-7 victory over Austin Peay to claim the team's first OVC title in 36 years and earn the automatic entry into the playoffs for the first time. Tech tied for the league crown with Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State with 6-2 league marks, and claimed the tie-breaker into the playoffs with wins over both teams.

Tech's overall 7-3 record includes a loss to Football Bowl Subdivision Iowa in the season opener, and a 6-2 mark against FCS opponents. Tech's two FCS losses were by a combined three points (two points to Tennessee State and one point to Murray State).

Central Arkansas received an at-large invitation to the playoffs after posting an 8-3 overal record. The Bears come to Cookeville following an open date last Saturday, and have won seven consecutive games.

The Bears finished with a 6-1 record and in second place in the Southland Conference behind Sam Houston State. UCA’s only three losses this season were to No. 1-ranked Sam Houston and two FBS programs, at Louisiana Tech in overtime and at Arkansas State. Those three schools are a combined 27-6 overall and 19-1 in their respective conferences. ASU won the Sun Belt Conference and Louisiana Tech won the Western Athletic Conference.

The winner of the Tech-Central Arkansas game will play at Montana on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Tech is one of two OVC schools in the 20-team FCS playoff field. While the Golden Eagles received the league's automatic bid, Eastern Kentucky was chosen as one of 10 at-large entries. EKU will host James Madison on Saturday.
