Description

Oppositions: Architecture On Film: Offering insights into the role of design in the built environment.

Mock-Ups In Close-Up is a remarkable research project chronicling the appearance and use of architectural models across narrative cinema. The compilation of footage from ten decades of film history consists only of clips of architectural models in a variety of contexts. Not necessarily from films about architecture, the clips cover a wide selection of films genres, including classics, love stories, thrillers, psychological dramas, comedies and sci-fi, and directors, including Fritz Lang, Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg, Ben Stiller, the Farrelly Brothers, and Wes Anderson.

Mock-Ups In Close-Up directors Gabu Heindl and Drehli Robnik will participate in post-screening Q&As.
