Description

Q&A with director/producer Josh Aronson and film subjects Andrew Schulman and Dr. Marvin R. McMillen, and performance by Andrew Schulman

Lunch reception provided by Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation

When guitarist Andrew Schulman reacts badly to a surgery and ends up in a coma, all medical solutions fall short and he is on the way out. His creative, loving wife, Wendy, knows music is his deepest connection to the universe and in a last ditch shot, she puts his headphones on him and plays the Bach St Mathew Passion. Andrew stabilized the next day and woke up, and even his doctors concur it was music that brought him back. As a give-back he now goes to the same ICU to play guitar to help the healing process for patients.
