Fourth show added BY POPULAR DEMAND! Sunday, March 29 at 4 pm!

Renowned author and entertainer Rene Foss comes to Sedona with her award-winning, outrageously funny one-woman show “Around the World in a Bad Mood: Confessions of a Flight Attendant” — March 27-29. This uproarious, live theatrical event will be presented by the Sedona International Film Festival on the Goldenstein Stage at its Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

“Around the World in a Bad Mood” is written and performed by real-life flight attendant Rene Foss. It is a humorous look at the flight attendant profession and the air travel industry from the perspective of a 24 year veteran.  A 90-minute romp through in flight debacles, security strip teases, pistol packing pilots, a six week unpaid training program, and brief historical overview of the profession.

Anyone who works in the airline industry or has ever traveled on an airplane will appreciate the material and Foss’ hilarious stage antics.  The show is based on her popular book “Around the World in a Bad Mood: Confessions of a Flight Attendant.”

Originally from Minneapolis, Foss just began her 20th year as a flight attendant for a major U.S. carrier. Initially this show was a 5-person cabaret act that premiered in Greenwich Village. After a feature story in The New York Times, Hyperion Publishing (Disney) approached her about adapting the act into a book. The book was relased in 2002 and has sold over 40,000 copies. Later that year Richard Frankel Production suggested she develop the act/book into a one-woman touring show. It premiered at The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland and is now playing in cities across the country. Ms. Foss has appeared on The Today Show, CNN, Cold Pizza, and NPR and has been feature in The New York Times, USA Today, and Self Magazine.

Tom Brokaw from NBC News calls the show: “A first class ticket to laughs about the wacky world of travel.” The Los Angeles Times calls it: “WICKEDLY PLAYFUL!”

“HILARIOUS! Four Stars. A charming romp through life in the clouds,” raves The Edinburgh List.
