Description

In the heart of London, there lies a sprawling Brutalist achievement of architecture and art. A marvel of towering concrete that was once described by Queen Elizabeth as "one of the modern wonders of the world," the Barbican Centre represents a utopian ideal for dense city living. Now, Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine (who took us to the famous ‘8’ building with The Infinite Happiness) bring us along as they spend a month living and breathing Barbican. Through an impressive gallery of portraits, the film draws an intimate human map of the place, breathing life into this harsh district and questioning the durability of this fascinating complex.
