Celebrate Women’s Right to Vote with a special live, one-woman staged reading: “Harriet Tubman’s Dream” starring Camilla Ross.

Camilla Ross has been portraying Harriet Tubman since 2009, when “Harriet Tubman’s Dream” opened as a collaborative effort with the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center’s National Theatre Institute (NTI) school.

The Emerson Theater Collaborative and the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Institute joined forces in 2009 to allow NTI directing students to come on board and direct a full productions for the Emerson Theater Collaborative. Thus providing the NTI directing students with hands on experience in their chosen field.

In this role, Ross draws upon thirty years theatrical experience, ranging from commercials to regional theater. For example, she is the current president and co-founder of the Emerson Theater Collaborative, along with Lisa Giordano.

In addition to theatre, Ross participates in a number of other activities. A graduate of Emerson College, she has served on the Emerson College Alumni board and other organizations. She also is the Suicide prevention advocate of a program called The I Am Worthy Project, and an advocate for children and adults with Aspergers Syndrome. Ross currently teaches online business courses for Three Rivers Community College She and has been featured in many magazines and papers for her work in her community. Her awards include the very prestigious women of the year award by the Women’s Network of Southeastern CT in June 2013. She was also a featured speaker at the and Women’s Circle in New Haven CT.  Ross currently resides as a resident of Sedona, AZ and operates the Emerson Theater Collaborative in two locations. Sedona AZ and Mystic CT.
