Description

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to join theaters around the world for a special one-night-only theatrical concert event: “Hans Zimmer: Live in Prague”, coming to the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Monday, Oct. 2 at 4 and 7 p.m.

Zimmer’s critically acclaimed European Tour arrived at the sold out O2 Arena in the Czech capital, bringing with him a support cast of 72 musicians, which included a full choir, symphony orchestra and his own 21-piece hand-picked backing band that featured Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and many of Academy Award-winner Hans’ closest friends and collaborators.

That night, the sell-out 17,000-strong crowd witnessed an incredible live show of music from Hans’ unparalleled career. This concert film gives fans of the films and his work the perfect seat to see the musical maestro at work, set to a ground-breaking light show, stunning visuals and state-of-the-art audio.

The “Live In Prague” show features themes from: Gladiator, Interstellar, The Da Vinci Code, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Lion King, Crimson Tide, Inception, Rain Man, Driving Miss Daisy and more.

Zimmer’s multi-award winning career reaches back to the mid-eighties and he has developed close working relationships with renowned directors such as Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Bay, Ron Howard, Gore Verbinski and Christopher Nolan. His credits include some of the biggest blockbuster movies of all time along with acclaimed TV series such as The Crown and Planet Earth II.

As an added bonus for cinemas, a 10-minute interview was shot with Hans giving the viewer an insight into the man behind the score of many of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters.

Hans Zimmer has won an Academy Award for The Lion King and been nominated on nine other occasions. His film scores have also won two Golden Globes, four Grammys, four Satellite Awards, three Saturn Awards and three Classical Brit Awards along with many more nominations.
