Description

At this special event, guests will have the opportunity to watch “Agave: The Spirit of a Nation” and are invited to sample Mezcales and Tequilas from Mexico between the film screenings. This will be a treat for all the senses, as we take a journey to explore the culture of México through film and fine tequila. The brands of samples represented include: El Tesoro, Mezcal Vago and Tequila Fortaleza, among others.

This expressive documentary explores the fastest trending spirit in the world, Tequila and Mezcal. This journey takes us to the world’s most biodiverse landscape of the agave plant, Mexico; here families have been passing down the tradition of distilling agave for generations.

From the alluring red highlands of Jalisco to the rugged mountains of Oaxaca the film follows three producers — Carlos, Graciela and Aquilino — in this burgeoning renaissance. From a bootstrap ambition to carrying on a father’s legacy, their successes and sacrifices unfurl in this interweaved story. Discover how one delicate plant can carry the weight of a nation and the people trying to protect it for the future.

Come enjoy an award-winning documentary and sample Mezcales and Tequilas from Mexico, which is included in the ticket price. The sampling will take place between the film screenings — after the 4 p.m. film and before the 7 p.m. showing.
