Description
Three short films illustrate the idea of exploring and understanding history. The award-winning Reporting on the Times: The New York Times and the Holocaust (18 min., Emily Harrold) asks viewers to consider the power of the press in creating change. Being George (39 min., Nyier Abdou & Adya Beasley) goes behind the scenes in the cutthroat world of historical reenactment as four men vie to portray Washington at the annual reenactment of his historic crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas Day. And, in Bring it to the Table (41 min., Julie Winoker), the filmmaker hits the road, travelling across America on a mission to understand the roots of personal politics and bridge the partisan divide.
