Rohs Theatre Company has been bringing great quality live theatre to the stage for over 10 years. With the help of our sponsors, we work to keep our prices affordable to the average family in Central Kentucky. RTC is a 501c3 organization.

Our Spring 2026 production is Dearly Departed, by David Bottrell & Jessie Jones. This fun, southern comedy will take the stage at the historic Rohs Opera House in Cynthiana, Kentucky May 8-9 and May 15-17, 2026. There will be five performances. Set in the 1980s, the Turpin family tries their best to get ready for their father’s funeral while all their other troubles keep popping up and hilariously getting in the way.


Rohs Theatre Company veteran Roger Slade is directing this laugh-out-loud play. Our playbill (program) will be a keepsake cardboard fan for waving to pay homage to the many southern funerals that often require some extra breeze. We hope you’ll be a part of this celebration of life and death and participate as a sponsor of the show.

How can you help?  As you would suspect, sets, lights, costumes, and props, all require substantial funding to stage a quality performance.  We depend on community support from people like you to help underwrite our shows.  We would like to ask you to consider supporting this production by contributing as a patron at one of the following levels:

Pallbearer sponsors (6-8 available) $250   Your logo will be featured on our program/fan, on the lobby screen at Rohs Opera House during the performances and on social media prior to the performances. You’ll also receive four complimentary tickets ($60 value) to the performance of your choice. This is the highest honor one can show to the bereaved family.

Graveside Wreath sponsors (10 available)  $125   Your name (or business name) will be listed on our program/fan, on one of the floral cards on display with the tasteful arrangement in the Rohs Opera House lobby during the performances and on social media prior to the performance. You’ll receive two complimentary tickets ($30 value) to the performance of your choice.

Obituary Special Friend sponsors   $75   Your name (or business name) will be listed on our program/fan. You’ll receive two complimentary tickets ($30 value) to the performance of your choice. Everyone in town will speculate about your relationship with the deceased.
