Join Sara Cochran, curator of our exhibition Are You Joking – Women & Humor, for what will be her final After Hours with The Church. In this program, Sara will guide guests on a curatorial tour of the exhibition outside our normal hours, providing an exclusive experience, before sitting down to discuss the process and insight gained during the curatorial process. Following the tour, there will be a Q&A with the audience.
Sara was the inaugural Chief Curator at The Church. She announced her resignation in April and this exhibition is her last. Learn what prompted the theme of this Summer’s show, what criteria Sara looked for in the works selected, and hear her overall reflections on women’s role in the world of humor. Following the program, we welcome our community to celebrate our witty and beloved curator, joining us in expressing our gratitude for her work here and wishing her well in her future adventures and endeavors.
