Showings

The Rosenberg Workspace Sun, Apr 28 1:00 PM

Description

Sag Harbor Cinema continues its “Projections” series on Sunday, April 28, from 1pm-3pm, with the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF). This event is free to the public and will feature a panel discussion “Bark the Question: A Lesson in Dog Myths & Training” from 1pm-2pm, and a pet adoption event at Steinbeck Park, from 2pm-3pm.

Featured speakers will include ARF-affiliated certified professional dog trainers: Veronica Grzybowska, Cindy LeRoy, Amy Kurtz, as well as Caryl Glaab, Director of Training Programs at the William P. Rayner Training Center at ARF. Sag Harbor Cinema’s Board Member April Gornik will moderate the discussion and the Q&A that follows.

After the discussion, attendees will walk to Steinbeck Park where the ARF Adoption Van will be on site with dogs and cats looking for forever homes. “Projections” attendees, who will have to reserve a seat through the Sag Harbor Cinema website, will receive a complimentary SHC pet bandana. Sample treats for dogs and cats kindly sponsored by Harbor Pets at the Steinbeck Park adoption event.

“Ever pondered what goes on in your dog's mind? It's a lot more intriguing than you think,” shares Kimberly Nichols, Executive Director of ARF. “We're thrilled to team up with Sag Harbor Cinema for this panel to debunk myths surrounding dogs of all breeds and sizes. This partnership presents an exceptional opportunity to interact with trainers, decipher your furry friend's language, and meet some of ARF's adorable adoptables, both dogs and cats.”

Sag Harbor Cinema founded the “Projections” series in 2021 with the goal to amplify the work and the mission of other East End non-profit organizations by providing a space to have conversations and to build audiences using the Cinema's facility, network, and digital presence.

This edition of “Projections” is kindly sponsored by Dorothy Frankel.
