The Sedona International Film Festival is taking its show on the road with its new “Movies on the Move” mobile movie truck and outdoor film experience!
The next event of the summer will be Monday, Sept. 9 at Hillside Sedona, featuring the blockbuster big screen comedy “City Slickers”. Showtime will be at dusk (approximately 7:45-8:00 p.m.).
Bring out your inner cowboy or cowgirl and get into the spirit of the film by dressing in Western attire, if you’d like!
Bring your lawn chairs and your family and friends and enjoy “Starry Night Cinema” under the stars on the festival’s giant outdoor screen with state-of-the-art projection and sound! The festival’s mobile concession stand will have movie treats available.
Every year, three friends take a vacation away from their wives. This year, henpecked Phil (Daniel Stern), newly married Ed (Bruno Kirby), and Mitch (Billy Crystal) -- terrified of his midlife crisis -- decide to reignite their masculinity by taking a supervised cattle drive across the Southwest. Under the supervision of gruff cowboy Curly (Jack Palance), the men set out on a journey that turns unexpectedly dangerous. The three men bond along the way to conquering their fear of aging.
Jack Palance won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “City Slickers”.
This “Starry Night Cinema” event is presented by the Sedona International Film Festival and sponsored by Hillside Sedona.
The Hillside Merchants and Restaurants will have other food and drink options as well as special promotions at the shops, businesses and galleries.
Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Hillside Sedona.
Tickets are only $7 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
