Description

The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season!

Join us on Wednesday, June 25 as we present “Victor Victoria” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.

“Victor Victoria” was nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning one for Best Musical Score/Original Song. It garnered a Best Actress nomination for Julie Andrews and Best Supporting Actor and Actress for Robert Preston and Lesley Ann Warren, respectively.

In this big screen musical sensation, Victoria Grant (Julie Andrews), a down-and-out British soprano, struggles to find work in the nightclubs of 1930s Paris. While trying to scam a free meal, Grant meets cabaret performer Toddy (Robert Preston), who comes up with an idea that will change everything. Acting as her manager, Toddy bills Grant as a male female impersonator. When the nightclubs eat it up, the duo makes it big -- even a Chicago mobster (James Garner) is enamored with Grant. But keeping the truth a secret is no easy task.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from The Wilde Resort and fun movie concessions.

The Wilde Resort and Spa is also offering local “Stay-cation” getaway packages with special $199 nightly rate for a Grove room (arriving Wednesday), including a complimentary bottle of wine (red or white), waived resort fees, and late check-out at noon. Mention booking code “D-WWED” when making the reservation.
