A night full of laughs awaits family and friends as one of California’s premier Comedy entertainment companies invades Modesto, CA as part of We Own The Laughs: Modesto on Friday September 30th inside The State Theatre. The event will be highlighted by show-stealing performances from Ric James, Bee Gutierrez, Austin Bovée, Tyson Paul, & Kabir Singh. Drink, Mingle, & Laugh with some of the best comedians around California with our host for the evening being none other than the very hilarious D’Maurier Johnson. Enjoy your laughs with some amazing snacks and beverages provided by The State Theatre.

Host: D’Maurier Johnson:
Considered a newcomer in the world of comedy, D’Maurier Johnson has already put himself on the fast track to superstardom with an electrifying stage presence and one of a kind work ethic. Already performing alongside current stars TK Kirkland, London Brown, and Mark Curry, D’Maurier has become a regular standout act at various comedy clubs throughout Central and Southern California.

Ric James:
Since the fall of 2009, Ric James has been hitting stages gathering material from all aspects of life and building his personal arsenal of jokes to unleash on audiences all over Northern California. Ric continues to find new venues to deliver his ever growing accumulation of jokes as well as align himself with some of the funniest comics in today’s game. Over the past few years Ric James has gotten the opportunity to work with such comics as: Willie Barcena, Paul Rodriguez, Steve-O, Tom Green, Daryl Wright, Mark Curry, John Witherspoon, Tony Rock, Faizon Love, JB Smoove George Lopez and of course Charlie Murphy.

Bee Gutierrez:
Bee Gutierrez is a Los Angeles based comedian, writer and actor. Originally from Salt Lake City, UT, she’s performed at venues across California including The Comedy Store, The HaHa Comedy Club, and Cobbs Comedy Club.

Austin Bovée:
Reminiscent to the cousin at the family BBQ that everyone loves to be around, Austin Bovée made the transition to comedy late in his party life, but wasted no time becoming one of the crowds favorite acts every time he steps on stage. Already earning high regards from superstars Adam Hunter, Lance Woods, and Jerry Garcia, Bovée can be seen regularly at San Jose Improv in San Jose, CA and Laughs Unlimited in Sacramento, CA.

Rachel Sterling:
Rachel Sterling is an actress and comedian, based in Los Angeles California. The former Pussycat Doll has graced the pages of Playboy, Maxim, Esquire and FHM. Rachel is best known internationally for her television/film appearances on Reno 911!, True Blood, Modern Family and Wedding Crashers just to name a few. Rachel now performs Standup comedy throughout the United States most notably at The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Roosevelt and the Improv.

Tyson Paul:
A veteran comedian based out of Central Califonia, Tyson Paul has performed in various comedy clubs all over the west coast including The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and Cobbs Comedy Club in San Francisco, CA. Tyson has been fortunate to share the stage with some of comedy’s biggest stars including Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, and Aries Spears.

Headliner of the Evening, Kabir Singh:
Born in Portland to Indian parents, Kabir Singh learned to use comedy in the face of adversity at an early age. As a comedian, Singh has been featured on Comedy Central's "Stand Up Revolution," "Family Guy," Dry Bar Comedy, and Amazon Prime Video. Kabir was recently a participant on NBC’s hit series “America’s Got Talent” during Season 16 where He was eliminated in the Semifinals.
