"Close Encounters of the Third Kind" just celebrated its 40th Anniversary, and we are proud to bring a special screening to Sedona, hosted by the film's star, Richard Dreyfuss!
The film is a science fiction adventure about a group of people who attempt to contact alien intelligence.
Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) witnesses an unidentified flying object, and even has a "sunburn" from its bright lights to prove it. Roy refuses to accept an explanation for what he saw and is prepared to give up his life to pursue the truth about UFOs.
"Close Encounters of the Third Kind" was nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning one for Best Cinematography for Vilmos Zsigmond. A Special Achievement Academy Award was also presented to former Sedona resident, Frank Warner, for Sound Effects Editing.
Join Richard Dreyfuss for this nostalgic screening of this ground-breaking film by Steven Spielberg.
