INTRODUCTION TO GREENWOOD CARVING w/ Nick Pahls

Learn to carve a butter spreader and coat hook from greenwood, using traditional Scandinavian slöjd methods. Learning will focus on the use of safe and efficient knife grips and techniques with a slöjd knife (straight knife). The instructor will model each step of the process and assist participants through a discussion of finishing techniques. All levels of carving experience are welcome to experience this traditional art form and reconnect with daily household items.
