In 2016, during the world’s largest refugee crisis since WWII, conservative, mid-western Nebraska resettled more refugees per capita than any other state. With bigotry and racism on the rise and America’s refugee resettlement program hanging by a thread, “A Home Called Nebraska” is the surprising, emotional story of mid-western welcome, unlikely friendships and a re-vitalized American Dream.
