Description

Spanning the range of the cultural spectrum, dance and movement rituals are used as a universal tool to spiritually elevate and connect to higher consciousness. "YAH WAVE" reveals, through the medium of dance, the sweeping parallels found between communities geographically, culturally and religiously distinct from one another. Communities featured in the documentary include groups of indigenous, Islamic, Latin American and Taoist backgrounds, as well as LGBTQ+ and new age ecstatic groups. Neither strictly a documentary nor a music video, "YAH WAVE" takes the form of a cross-genre, dialogue-free, rhythmically guided meditation to serve as a metaphysical reflection of its diverse audience.
