COVID-19: Past, Present and Future
Dr. Cohen, boarded in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, is the Director of Infection Prevention and Control at UW Medical Center and has been a leader in the COVID-19 response for the University of Washington. He will discuss his reflections on being a front line health care worker in the epicenter of the initial COVID-19 outbreak in the United States as well as his experience setting up the first drive-through testing site in the country. In COVID-19: Past, Present, and Future, he will explore how we’ve grappled with this pandemic as a country, key lessons that we’ve learned thus far, and what the future of COVID-19 may hold.


Biography
Seth Cohen, MD, MS, has led the COVID-19 clinical program at UW Medical Center and among other activities he set up the first drive-through COVID-19 testing site in the country.  Dr. Cohen is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington and the chief of the Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine Clinic. He is also the medical director of infection prevention and employee health at the University of Washington Medical Center.
