Description

Did you know that U-2 pilots trained in Arizona? How did companies like Motorola become economic powerhouses?  Join the Arizona Historical Society on Thursday, February 25 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. for a presentation and discussion about how the Cold War transformed Arizona. Journal of Arizona History author Jason H. Gart will explore  the crucial early post-World War II period when the rise of the defense industry dramatically changed Arizona’s economy. From electronics and aerospace to manufacturing and production facilities, learn how these well-known (and some secret CIA!) entities operated throughout communities in the state.

Suggested donation $10 per person.
