Read & Make Adventures: Tales and Tails
Thursdays | June 10 - August 12, 2021 |10 AM - 12 PM
Join the Dover Public Library for storytime and a kids craft at the Biggs Museum every Thursday, from June 10th through August 12th. This year’s theme is Tales and Tails! This program takes place on the Biggs’ lawn (weather-permitting) where a librarian will read a book about a different animal each week. Once storytime has finished, a Biggs staff member will take children and their grown ups on a short gallery tour to learn about the artwork that inspired the day’s story. Afterwards, children will participate in a hands-on art project to take home.
The theme for July 8th will be Chickens!
Upcoming Themes:
July 15: Dogs
July 22: Cats
July 29: Arctic Animals
August 5: Swans and Ducks
August 12: Horses
This program is free and open to the public. The recommended age group is between 3 and 9, however everyone is welcome! Pending inclement weather, activities will take place inside of the museum. Due to COVID restrictions and space limitations, please register ALL people who will be present for the program - whether or not they will be participating.
If you have any questions or need help registering, please call 302-674-2111 x 0 or contact programs@biggsmuseum.org.
