Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki Trio Concert

Showings

Eppes Auditorium Fri, Aug 13 7:30 PM

Description

Putting a fresh spin on traditional Celtic music, the Jordan TW Trio delivers a dynamic show full of lively fiddle tunes, haunting airs and classic sing-alongs. Fiddler/singer Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki (“Master Artist” NH State Council On The Arts, “Best Fiddler” NH Magazine) is joined by fellow NH natives Matt Jensen on guitar and Chris Noyes on upright bass. Their blend of Celtic songs with their own original material has become a staple of the NH music scene over the last decade, drawing on multiple genres to produce a unique sound that has been described as a “larger-than-life” and “brisk, lean and exceedingly lovely.”  A prolific studio musician as well as performer, Jordan composed the New England Emmy®-nominated theme music for WMUR’s New Hampshire Chronicle, and the Trio formed the core band that recorded it. The group has appeared live on NHPR’s “The Folk Show,” provided music for projects ranging from Ted Talks to holiday variety shows, and their music can be heard on radio stations around the British Isles as well as here in New England. They perform regularly at listening rooms, concert halls, private events and festivals. More info at www.JordanTWmusic.com
