For Castro’s new album, a roots music odyssey entitled Tommy Castro Presents A Bluesman Came To Town, he tells a timeless story. A tale of a young man working on his family farm who gets bitten by the blues bug. He masters the guitar and heads out on the road seeking fame and fortune, only to find what he’s left behind is the treasure he’s been looking for. Each memorable song-from the blistering title track to the pleading Child Don’t Go to the hopeful I Caught A Break to the emotional Blues Prisoner-stands on its own, as well as contributing to the larger story.
Opening for Tommy Castro is American Guitarist Angelo J Rossi, aka “AJ Crawdaddy”. Born in Palo Alto, California and a long time Bay Area performing artist, AJ is most well-known for his work with the popular Marin based pop group, Pablo Cruise 1980-1984 which charted multi-platinum albums, A Place In The Sun and Worlds Away producing hits like, A Place In The Sun, Love Will Find A Way, Watcha’ Gonna Do (When She Says Goodbye), Rio, Cool Love and Sip Away. He is a BMI published writer and a voting member of N.A.R.A.S. (Grammy).
