Widely
known for his role as Sgt. Larvelle Jones in the long-running Police Academy franchise, actor Michael Winslow
carved a niche with his uncanny vocal mimicry of everything from musical
instruments to animals. To date, he has created more than 10,000 sound effects,
which have appeared in video games, cartoons, TV commercials and movie
soundtracks. He has
also appeared in Spaceballs, Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, Gremlins, Nice Dreams, The Love Boat, and
commercials for Cadbury and GEICO. Whether he is recreating the frenzy of Jimi
Hendrix playing the guitar, or the roar of a jet plane, his talent is truly
remarkable and enjoyable for all ages!
This year, the self-described
“voicetramentalist” entered Season 16 of America’s
Got Talent on NBC. Praised by the judges as a “legend” and a “trailblazer,”
Michael lived up to their accolades and advanced to the semi-finals of the
competition.
The show will feature Michael Winslow
with special guest star Mike Elis. There will be a VIP Meet and Greet at 4pm the day of the show to include a
photo opportunity with Michael and signed special item. Must purchase a
VIP/Preferred Seat at the comedy show in order to attend the Meet and Greet.
While in Monticello, Michael Winslow
will be filming a special documentary series about small town America.
