Olive Collins is an award-winning and bestselling Irish historical fiction writer. She lives in Tipperary, Ireland and has traveled extensively. Her first novel, The Memory of Music is an Irish family saga spanning 100 years. It tells the story of the turbulent Irish history, recent wars and vast social changes as seen through the eyes of 5 generations of Irish in one family. The Memory of Music was the winner of the Annie McHale Best Debut Award and an Irish bestseller.

     Her second novel, The Tide Between Us retraces Ireland's long history with Jamaica. Twenty-five percent of Jamaicans' claim Irish ancestry, most were deported during colonial times for committing little to no crimes. The Tide Between Us spans 170 years and follows the story of an indentured servant deported to the cane fields and his subsequent generations. Her novel has remained in the Amazon Bestseller since its release.

      Her third novel, The Weaver’s Legacy, is based on the Irish who immigrated to the American west during the pioneering era. Olive is currently working on her fourth novel which is based in New York and set between 1867 to 1905.
