In 2019, to recognize and highlight the outstanding film work being developed in the greater Baltimore community by local creators, the Maryland Film Festival decided to create a distinct festival shorts block called BaltiShorts. This program has consistently been a huge audience favorite, and we don't expect this year to be any different. From heart wrenching narratives to kooky animation, culturally relevant docs and slices of life, this block has something for everyone, in true Baltimore fashion.

Description

Taking inspiration from The Epic of Gilgamesh, an ancient story written on clay tablets, and responding to the strangeness of the global pandemic, this story of loss and hope in nature is told through colorful, shifting, changing, morphing clay on glass animation.
