Join us every month for our Story to Screen series, presented in partnership with The Savoy Bookshop & Cafe! Enjoy story time with The Savoy at The United, then we'll watch a movie on our Main Cinema based on the book we read!
This month we'll be reading and watching Clifford The Big Red Dog!
Story time begins at 10 am--you can choose to stay for just the reading or for both (until about 1pm). Each Guest will receive a kids size bag of popcorn with their ticket. The Savoy Book Store will also have a table on site selling the books that we read that day!
This event is open to all ages however this is a Youth program, and suggested ages are based on each movie.
ABOUT THE FILM: As middle schooler Emily Elizabeth struggles to fit in at home and at school, she discovers a small red puppy who is destined to become her best friend from a magical animal rescuer. When Clifford becomes a gigantic red dog in her New York City apartment and attracts the attention of a genetics company who wish to supersize animals, Emily and her clueless Uncle Casey have to fight the forces of greed as they go on the run across New York City and take a bite out of the Big Apple. Along the way, Clifford affects the lives of everyone around him and teaches Emily and her uncle the true meaning of acceptance and unconditional love. Based on the beloved Scholastic character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big.
