Local Film Premiere - When a town is best known not for the number of its amenities, but rather the size of its heart, it is a Giving Town. When a community is measured not only by its civic pronouncements, but also by its daily acts of kindness, that, too, is a Giving town. Welcome to the story of such a town in Southwest Michigan whose greatest asset over the years has been its generosity.
On the evening of Friday, August 5 at 7pm, our town will come together to celebrate its history of benevolence. We'll see several short films, listen to guest speakers sharing about Sturgis's history of philanthropy, and enjoy historical characters from our past come alive onstage at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts - all in honor of our long tradition of giving.
