In the late 1950s and early 60s, pop charts were bursting with country and blues hits... singers and musicians worked together to make this happen. Listen to Lianne and Luke perform the music of Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and friends like Hank Williams, Carl Perkins, Willie Nelson and discover just how connected they all were during this unforgettable time of hits!

MAKING MEMORIES is a film and live music program designed for people living with memory loss and their care partners that is presented FREE each month at Gold Coast Arts. Each program is led by Marcy Rhodes, a certified special education teacher and licensed master social worker.

A fourth-generation performer, Luke Darnell’s family legacy includes Vaudeville, Broadway and film/TV.  He is a touring musician, taking the music of Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis all over the country. His NY/ Off-Broadway acting credits include The Other Josh Cohen, Cyrano de Bergerac (Christian) and in Las Vegas he appeared as Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins in their long-running hit Million Dollar Quartet.

Lianne Marie Dobbs is a TV actor (“The Gilded Age”, “The Equalizer”) and NYC nightclub singer - with her next solo appearance at the famous 54Below on November 16th, 7pm. Lianne is lauded as one of the "Best Vocalists of the Decade" by BroadwayWorld (Dec 2020), and has starred in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Always… Patsy Cline, Les Misérables and many more. Her debut album of jazz standards “Everything Old is New Again” is on Shout! Broadway records.
