happen. Listen to Lianne and Luke perform the music of Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and friends like Hank
Williams, Carl Perkins, Willie Nelson and discover just how connected they all
were during this unforgettable time of hits!
MAKING MEMORIES is a film and live music program designed for people living with memory loss and their care partners that is presented FREE each month at Gold Coast Arts. Each program is led by Marcy Rhodes, a certified special education teacher and licensed master social worker.
ABOUT LIANNE & LUKE:
A fourth-generation performer, Luke Darnell’s family legacy
includes Vaudeville, Broadway and film/TV. He is a touring musician,
taking the music of Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis all over the country. His
NY/ Off-Broadway acting credits include The Other Josh Cohen, Cyrano
de Bergerac (Christian) and in Las Vegas he appeared as Johnny Cash
and Carl Perkins in their long-running hit Million Dollar Quartet.
Lianne Marie Dobbs is a TV actor (“The Gilded Age”, “The
Equalizer”) and NYC nightclub singer - with her next solo appearance at the
famous 54Below on
November 16th, 7pm. Lianne is lauded as one of the "Best Vocalists of the
Decade" by BroadwayWorld (Dec 2020), and has starred in Irving
Berlin’s White Christmas, Always… Patsy Cline, Les
Misérables and many more. Her debut album of jazz standards
“Everything Old is New Again” is on Shout! Broadway records.
