A movie about a man who wakes up one day and has become a hamburger. A man who has a son. Hence, HAMBURGER DAD, a timeless story of father/son bonding, finding oneself, and being a hamburger.
Made in 2003 in Seattle on a less-than-shoestring budget by Kevin Clarke and Wil Long, on a Hi8 Sony Camcorder nicknamed “Crapotron.” It became a local semi-cult classic, until being resurrected in 2020 by Scott Miller of Strange Tapes Zine, with a limited VHS release, when it suddenly became a nationwide semi-cult classic!
Scott will be in attendance for this 20th anniversary screening to intro the show, which will include some vintage short films from Kevin & Wil, plus a Q&A with the directors and star Christopher Miller following the movie!
There will be HAMBURGER DAD posters, T-shirts and some other surprises on hand as well!
“There's no way this should work as well as it does for as long as it does but I found it totally charming. The ending is amazing.” MplsMatt, Letterboxd review
