Grieg’s Two Melodies sets the stage for a first half that is dominated by the sound of the strings. Dvorák’s Serenade for Strings offers lush melodies, before Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte takes us on a meditative journey. Finally, we are joined by the DSSO Chorus for one of Mozart’s great choral works, his Vesperae solennes de confessore.
