Virtuoso Pianist Mia Vassilev started playing from the age of 3 and has performed throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the US as a soloist, chamber musician, and opera accompanist.

Recent CD release appearances include Several Times, the chamber music of Dennis Kam, released by Navona Records in 2018, the Naxos album Del Caribe, Soy!, and Ecstatic Records’ MIAMI GRANDS, composed by Michael Torke.

In her hometown of Miami Beach, she is a frequent soloist with the Hallendale Symphonic Pops Orchestra, the Alhambra Orchestra, the Sugar Pops Orchestra, and is an adjunct Professor of Piano at Barry University in Miami Shores.

She holds degrees, awards and assistantships from Kansas State University, University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music, and University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and is an active soloist, chamber musician and opera accompanist, working for tours and production rehearsals with the Metropolitan Opera (NY), Glimmerglass Opera (NY), Florida Grand Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy, the American Institute of Musical Studies Festival in Graz, Austria, and the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts in Miami, Florida among others.

Mia Vassilev is a virtuosic piano player with worldwide acclaim for her musical diversity, artistry and charismatic stage presence. Mia is joined onstage by a drummer and string player, as well as a dance duo. Her program "In The Spirit of Liberace" explores genres from classical to Latin, and Polka to Rock 'N Roll, and features selections from Carmen, Sing Sing Sing, multimedia elements, and more.
