Description

Join us on Thursday, June 1 at 7pm for a special screening of the 2022 Oscar winning action-adventure comedy, Everything Everywhere All At Once, presented by the Sturgis Cinema Circle! Michelle Yeoh (Oscar winner for Best Actress) stars as a middle-aged Chinese immigrant who gets swept up into an insane adventure in which she alone can save existence by exploring other universes and connecting with the lives she could have led.

The Sturgis Cinema Circle seeks to engage audiences with the experience of seeing classic (and recent Oscar-winning) films on the big screen while enjoying an expanded understanding of the film's cultural and historical significance through a featured post-show conversation hosted by the director of the Sturges-Young. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and military, which are available by phone at (269) 651-8541 or walk-up sales prior to show date and at the door. Concessions available.

Additional Information

With her laundromat teetering on the brink of failure and her marriage to silly husband Waymond (Ke Huy Kwan) on the rocks, overworked Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh) struggles to cope with everything, including tattered relationships with her judgmental father Gong Gong (James Hong) and her daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu). She must also brace herself for an unpleasant meeting with an impersonal bureaucrat: Deirdre (Jamie Lee Curtis), the IRS auditor. However, as the stern agent loses patience, an inexplicable multiverse rift becomes an eye-opening exploration of parallel realities, and a challenge to save all of existence by connecting to all these various lives.
