The year is 1936. After narrowly escaping a South American treasure hunt that results in an unfortunate encounter with hostile natives and an old rival, archeology professor Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) hears from museum curator Marcus Brody (Denholm Elliott) about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which may hold the key to human existence. Jones ventures to exotic regions of Nepal and Egypt to find clues to this artifact’s whereabouts. However, he will have to fight his enemy Rene Belloq (Paul Freeman) and a slew of Nazis in order to reach it.
