Contemporary Teens: Inverting Meaning and Thinking Differently

Showings

Contemporary Calgary Sun, Jul 30, 2023 12:30 PM

Description

Our free onsite Contemporary Teens programs help inspire young people through the exploration of contemporary art, connecting them to community, global, and social issues that affect all of our lives.

Using black and white shades, the youth are invited to create a portrait of either themselves or someone they know, while inverting the way black and white is typically used. By flipping the shades and colours, youth will be challenged to explore the concept of perspective and make unconventional decisions that have a meaningful impact.

For youth ages 12-18. Maximum group of 30.
Snacks and workshop supplies will be provided.
