Woodburn Illuminated at Woodburn - The Governor's Mansion
Friday | December 8 | 6-8pm
As the winter days grow shorter, we all seek a warm and cozy
place to escape the cold and dark. And what better way to do that than by
attending the Woodburn Illuminated event on December 8th at 6:00 pm! At this
unique event, we're bringing back an age-old tradition of candle-lit
illuminations that were used to cheer, entertain, and celebrate in the 18th and
19th century. In partnership with First State Heritage Park and the Governor's
staff at Woodburn, we're excited to revive this art form and light up the night
with a warm and inviting glow.
Take a leisurely stroll through the grounds of Woodburn and
admire the stately home's decorations while enjoying the gathered
illuminations. Listen to the soulful music that will surely lift your spirits
and sip on hot cocoa to keep yourself warm. This one-night-only special event
promises to revive your holiday spirits and make your heart glow with joy. Join
us at Woodburn Illuminated and let the candlelight illuminate your holiday
spirit!
Join us at the Biggs Museum beginning December 2 to learn
about the Wyeth family of artists and create illuminations inspired by their
work in our Child Help Studio.
Don't worry if you missed your chance to visit us before the
big day, you can still find our hands-on studio at Woodburn Illuminated
starting from 5:30PM. So come on down and let's brighten up the holidays
together!
