When her family reunites in New York City for her father's heart transplant, Leila is forced to spend time with her mother Shireen (Niousha Noor), and abruptly reveals that she's pregnant. Leila's pregnancy forces her and her mother to notice the parallels between their lives and for Shireen to share what she has long kept hidden from her only daughter.
