In France in the late 19th century, Dodin Bouffant (the always commanding Benoît Magimel) is a chef living with his personal cook and lover Eugénie (a luminous Juliette Binoche). Though they share a long history of gastronomy and love, Eugénie refuses to marry Dodin, so the food lover decides to do something he has never done before: cook for her. Winner of Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival, THE TASTE OF THINGS is a mouth-watering, unabashedly romantic tale of middle-age love.
