Description

The tale of post World War II immigrants in the 1950's trying to carve out a piece of their pie in the historic Toronto neighborhood, the Junction. New world dreams, same old war.

Pete, a new immigrant, arrives in Toronto from a war-torn Italy and he is eager to start his new life and take his piece of the new world dream. However, Toronto’s west side Junction continues its turbulent traditions. Even a decade after World War II, prejudices of the presiding cultural have carved their ground. Pete learns that the new world is laced with the same hatred of the world he thought he left behind. Who will be the first to put down their fists? And who will be the first to demonstrate the first act of mercy?
