Description

Concert pianist Rupert Egerton-Smith takes to The Church’s vaunted corridors to perform a program that includes Chopin, Gershwin, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and Scarlatti, as well as an improvisational piece inspired by The Church. Described as “particularly impressive” and noted for his superb musicality, Rupert gifts us with a performance of the highest caliber of solo instrumental, classical artistry that has garnered him praise from around the world.

After finishing a successful tour of the Middle East which became the subject of a documentary entitled Evolve by award-winning filmmaker Tony El Khoury, Rupert went on to tour extensively throughout the United Kingdom playing at prestigious venues and receiving exaltations from audiences and critics alike. He comes to us after recently performing at Wiltshire’s Salisbury Cathedral for Her Majesty Queen Camilla, and an all-Gershwin program presented as part of his only New York City performance honoring the composer for The Lambs Foundation.

Join us for a concert that is sure to take audiences on a journey through sound and technique, as the musician shares his story and the beauty of his art form.
