As he approaches the end of his twenties, Drew has come to a decision: quit his job as a data analyst. “I just don’t like it,” he explains to his boss. “Spreadsheets, numbers…I just thought there would be more to it.” Enthusiastic about embracing life, the charmingly awkward Drew, through a series of experiences and interactions as a newly-unemployed person, comes to realize he doesn’t have much of a life to embrace. In this idiosyncratic comedy debut from director Ryan Martin Brown, reminiscent of early Woody Allen with a dash of Curb Your Enthusiasm cringe, the essence of millennial ennui is brought to witty life against the background of New York City.
