Description

Friends are always saying to you, “You should write that down! You could write a book!” And you think, “Yes. I could. But how? How would I even start?” Here’s how—with this workshop. Lucinda McDermott has helped people tell their stories and other’s stories. As an award-winning playwright, she understands what it takes to tell a compelling story whether it’s bound to live between the covers of a book or on stage. More importantly, she has all kinds of fun and provoking exercises to get you over that hump of beginning. Whether it’s a moment in time, or the full arc of your life’s journey, this course will get you started. This workshop will consist of writing in class and in between class, sharing with one another, learning to give and receive responsible feedback, and presenting selections for an invited audience. This course is designed for adult and teen students (9th grade and beyond).
