The preserve is home to over 15 species of native ferns and mid-summer is a fantastic time to learn to identify them. Join Tate Bushell on a walk where we will see, identify, and study the habits of approximately 12 fern species. We will focus on species identification, morphology, fern terminology, and habitat. This walk is designed for people with some familiarity with plants and ferns.
1 - 3 p.m.
Total walking distance will be up to 1.5 miles over uneven terrain.Your feet may get wet. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
$5 minimum donation for members.
$10 minimum donation for non-members.
