LEXINGTON FILM DEBUT AND Q&A WITH THE FILMMAKING TEAM
ABOUT THE FILM
The House Among the Trees is a 2025 independent horror-thriller directed by Tyler Horner and written by Blair Hoyle. The story follows three low-level burglars — played by Wes Robinson (Blair Witch), Cullen Lovelock, and Blair Hoyle — who break into a secluded house, only to uncover disturbing secrets lurking within a small town. What begins as a simple heist quickly spirals into a tense and unsettling ordeal, blending elements of crime, suspense, and psychological horror.
The film has been showcased at various film festivals, including the Days of the Dead in Atlanta and the Spring Lane in Sanford, NC. It has garnered praise for its sharp pacing, atmospheric cinematography, and the dynamic chemistry among its leads. Reviewers have highlighted its effective balance of suspense and dark humor, as well as its ability to subvert typical home-invasion tropes.
Produced by Eye4Eye Productions, Buckshot '97, Simpatico Pictures, Ghost Boy Films, and Soft Sticks Studios, The House Among the Trees is currently making its rounds on the festival circuit and is expected to become available for wider viewing later in 2025.
