The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to open the season for its Sedona Professional Theatre Company with “Bent Compass” live on stage at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre, running Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
“Bent Compass” — starring Neil Brookshire and based on the real-life stories of Army Medic Colin Sesek — is an award-winning solo show that explores the transformation of a young man from fresh recruit to seasoned combat Army Medic. How does war change a person's sense of normal?
Colin, years after his deployment, witnesses an event as a student teacher. But due to his combat experience, he sees the situation differently than the other teachers. How did this change take place? What effects did war have on him personally?
At once personal, reflective, humorous, raw, and candid, these stories honor a man whose unique perspective speaks to both veterans and non-combat civilians alike.
