Join us for a special Veterans Day sneak preview screening of UNTOLD VALOR, the pilot episode for a new series filmed in Southwest Virginia. UNTOLD VALOR shares the stories of Native American code talkers in World War II, honors veterans, and sparks meaningful dialogue about representation, resilience, and history.
Following the screening, enjoy a conversation and Q&A with members of the film team: Ise White (director, Choctaw), Derek Garza (actor, Wichita/Comanche), and John Engstrom (cinematographer), alongside Joe Martinez (Comanche), grandson of WWII code talker Charles J. Chibitty. Meet the group in the lobby for light refreshments afterwards.
Note: if you or your loved one require disability accommodations, please contact Professor Rachel Lin Weaver (rlw@vt.edu) no later than 5pm on November 6th.
