A queer spin on Henrik Ibsen’s classic play from writer/director Nia DaCosta, Hedda is a provocative exploration of gender, race, and desire. Hedda Gabler (Tessa Thompson) finds herself caught between the lingering flames of an old love and the suffocating nature of married life. Over the course of one long night, Hedda and those in her orbit become swept up in a spiral of manipulation, passion, and betrayal as she tries to figure out what it is she really wants.
