Nearly two days after his teenage daughter has gone missing, David Kim (John Cho) and the detectives assigned to the case have no leads to her disappearance. Desperate to find his child, David turns to the one place that no has looked into yet: her laptop. A hyper-modern thriller, set almost entirely on computer screens and smartphones, Searching dives deep into the data that is seemingly private within digital technologies. This screening will be preceded by a presentation from Prasad Calyam, Curators' Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri.
