A kaleidoscope of perspectives: “My Country ‘Tis of Thee”, filtered through Charles Ives’ shifting lenses. Fragments of a brilliant Schubert symphony left mysteriously unfinished. An old Lutheran hymn refracted and retold by Bach. A journey from light to darkness and back again, pieced together from a mosaic of sacred texts. Tonight’s program represents the American ideal of many individual voices converging into one unified whole.
